WHO WE ARE
The Yungwirth Judo Academy is a professionally run, family friendly judo dojo located in Mooresville, NC. We train all levels from beginners through advanced international competitors of all ages. We teach judo as a complete art, from the foundational level all the way through advanced competitive techniques, professional applications and self-defense, including an advanced ground fighting curriculum. We understand that people have different reasons for practicing martial arts and we strive to provide our students with the best curriculum to match their goals. We love having new people step onto the mat and introducing them to the very practical, powerful and enjoyable art and sport of judo.
MISSION STATEMENT
At the Yungwirth Judo Academy, a veteran owned organization, our goal is to provide the highest level of judo instruction to all persons of integrity, regardless of background. We utilize researched, advanced and proven training methodologies to achieve the highest levels of skill development and performance. Using judo as the platform, we will lead young men and women into adulthood as resilient, highly productive members of society and will provide a positive place for adults to train in a clean and supportive environment. We support the Olympic movement, members of law enforcement, the military and other first responders.
