The Yungwirth Judo Academy is honored to be a founding member of USA Judo’s P3 program. P3 is a program designed for Police and other law enforcement professionals, establishing an ethical use of force model consistent with the demands of policing in the 21st century. P3 has also teamed with the Police Athletic League to help guide and mentor youth through interaction with caring officers around the nation. On March 8-11, 2021, we held the inaugural P3 Train the Trainer course at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy. It was a great event, with officers coming from seven states. These very experienced and seasoned officers really worked hard to perfect the techniques presented and gave excellent feedback on the program. It was an honor to work with them. In October, 2020, our P3 task force traveled to Fort Worth to meet with leaders of the Fort Worth Police Department to present the program benefits and seek their recommendations. It was a productive meeting and the Fort Worth PD sent two of their most experienced trainers to Wyoming for the first train the trainer session.
